This foundational course introduces massage students to clinical assessment methods that inform and elevate therapeutic practice. Emphasizing accuracy, client-centered communication, and treatment relevance, students will explore the art and science of intake review, postural evaluation, range of motion (ROM) testing, palpation, and functional analysis. Through a blend of structured lessons and hands-on labs, students will learn how to document client history, assess for limitations and pain patterns, and apply findings to session planningโall while remaining within the scope of massage therapy.
