Client Evaluation Skills in Massage Therapy

This foundational course introduces massage students to clinical assessment methods that inform and elevate therapeutic practice. Emphasizing accuracy, client-centered communication, and treatment relevance, students will explore the art and science of intake review, postural evaluation, range of motion (ROM) testing, palpation, and functional analysis. Through a blend of structured lessons and hands-on labs, students will learn how to document client history, assess for limitations and pain patterns, and apply findings to session planning—all while remaining within the scope of massage therapy.

Gather and interpret detailed client health history for safe session planning
