The digestive system does far more than process food—it plays a vital role in immune response, emotional balance, detoxification, and physical comfort. When dysfunction arises—whether through chronic inflammation, acute distress, or systemic disease—it has direct implications for massage safety, positioning, pressure, and treatment goals.
This course equips massage therapists to recognize and respond to common digestive system pathologies, from irritable bowel syndrome and ulcers to liver disease and post-surgical recovery. Through a clinical lens and compassionate practice, this course prepares students to adapt sessions, identify red flags, and work confidently with clients living with digestive concerns.
The urinary system plays a critical role in detoxification, fluid balance, blood pressure regulation, and waste removal. When these functions are disrupted, massage therapists must approach treatment with careful attention to systemic symptoms, contraindications, and pressure sensitivity, particularly in the abdominal and lower back regions.
This course offers a clinically grounded introduction to common urinary system pathologies, including bladder infections, kidney disease, incontinence, and urinary obstructions. Participants will gain practical tools for recognizing red flags, adapting massage safely, and communicating effectively with clients experiencing urinary or renal challenges.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
