To breathe is to live. The respiratory system is not only the gateway for oxygen—it is a rhythmic tide of exchange, presence, and transformation. In this course, students explore the elegant structures and dynamic function of the respiratory system, including the lungs, diaphragm, and airways. With a blend of anatomical study and experiential awareness, learners will discover how respiration connects physiology with emotion, movement, and therapeutic presence.
The lymphatic and immune systems form the body’s inner guardians—moving beneath the surface in silence, filtering, protecting, and restoring. This course illuminates the elegant flow of lymph, the sentinel role of immune cells, and the harmonious relationship between movement, breath, and healing. Students will learn the anatomy and physiology of these systems through the lens of therapeutic touch and somatic support. In this rich and restorative four-hour course, we explore the subtle rivers and vigilant guardians of the human body: the lymphatic and immune systems. Woven together like threads of protection and purification, these systems defend us, drain us, and dance with the endocrine orchestra to maintain balance. Students will gain insight into lymphatic anatomy, immune function, and the interconnectedness of systemic health. Special attention will be given to holistic implications and massage therapy considerations. “Not all warriors wear armor; some wear white cells.”
In-person or live online; lecture, breath-focused embodiment exercises, visual aids, and review
By the end of this course, students will:
