The Three Acts of Study
Our curriculum unfolds as a progressive journey through three distinct yet interconnected segments, each building upon the previous to create a complete foundation for professional practice. This thoughtful sequencing allows you to develop confidence and competence in stages, mastering core skills before advancing to more complex techniques and specialized applications.
Act 1 – Professional Spa Massage & Skin Treatments
Foundational bodywork skills, spa therapies, skin care, and client wellness. Explore Swedish massage, hot stone therapy, aromatherapy, and facial treatments while building core competencies in sanitation, ethics, and physiology.
This initial segment establishes your technical foundation while introducing you to the professional standards and client-centered approach that will define your practice. You'll develop the fundamental skills of therapeutic touch, learn to create a safe and comfortable environment, and begin understanding the body's response to treatment.
Act 2 – Myofascial Massage & Manual Therapy
Structural anatomy in motion. Emphasis on fascia, joint mobility, and postural support. Learners refine integrative techniques and assessment skills while serving the public in a supervised student clinic.
Building on your fundamental skills, this segment deepens your understanding of the body's structural components and movement patterns. You'll develop assessment techniques to identify imbalances, learn targeted approaches to address specific concerns, and begin applying your knowledge in the supervised clinic environment.
Act 3 – Bodies in Balance: Systems & Specialty Therapies
System‑specific anatomy, advanced pathology, and specialty treatments woven into whole‑body therapeutic care—lymphatic, prenatal, abdominal, and oncology massage, with breath and circulatory therapies for gentle, effective change.
The culmination of your training integrates all previous learning while expanding into specialized applications for specific populations and conditions. You'll refine your ability to address complex client needs, adapt techniques for maximum benefit with minimal risk, and prepare to enter the profession as a well-rounded practitioner.
This progressive structure allows you to build confidence at each stage while developing a comprehensive skill set that prepares you for the diverse demands of professional practice. The supervised clinic component provides invaluable real-world experience, allowing you to refine your techniques under expert guidance while serving the community.
